These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of pokerathlete.com and the related coaching, event, and content services offered by Poker Athlete (the "Services"). By using the site or any Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.
1. Who we are
Poker Athlete is a sole-proprietor business operated by Brandon Packard, located at 1521 Culebra Rd, San Antonio, TX 78201, United States. Contact: brandon@pokerathlete.com.
2. Use of the site
You agree to use the site lawfully and respectfully. You may not attempt to disrupt the site, reverse-engineer its functionality, scrape it at scale, or use it to harass others. We may suspend or terminate access for misuse without notice.
3. Eligibility
You must be 18 years or older to use the Services or participate in events. Coaching and events involve adult subject matter (high-stakes decision-making, psychological resilience, predator recognition) and are not appropriate for minors.
4. Coaching, events, and content
- Coaching and events are sold separately and governed by their own engagement terms shared at booking.
- Free content (articles, the Archetype Quiz, this site) is provided as-is for informational purposes.
- Nothing on this site is financial, legal, medical, or therapeutic advice. Poker involves real financial risk; please play within your means.
- Discussion of narcissistic abuse, predatory behavior, and psychological defense is for educational purposes and is not a substitute for licensed therapy or legal counsel.
5. Payments and refunds
Specific refund terms for coaching engagements and event tickets are provided in the relevant booking confirmation or contract. In general, deposits for live events are non-refundable inside 14 days of the event date.
6. Intellectual property
All site content, frameworks, written material, and the Poker Archetype Assessment are the property of Poker Athlete unless otherwise noted. You may share content with attribution; you may not reproduce, sell, or republish it commercially without written permission.
7. User-submitted content
If you submit information through forms, quizzes, or messages, you grant Poker Athlete a non-exclusive right to use that information internally to deliver Services and improve content. We will not publish identifying personal information without your consent.
8. Third-party links
The site may link to third-party sites (for example, a Google Form for the Archetype Quiz). We are not responsible for the content or practices of those sites.
9. Disclaimer of warranties
The site and Services are provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee that the site will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure.
10. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Poker Athlete and Brandon Packard are not liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the site or Services. Total liability for any direct damages is capped at the amount you paid us in the preceding twelve months, or one hundred US dollars, whichever is greater.
11. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute will be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Bexar County, Texas, and you consent to that jurisdiction.
12. Changes
We may update these Terms periodically. Material changes will be reflected by an updated "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the site after changes constitutes acceptance.
